The Influence of a Godly Man is Immeasurable
By Vanessa Dawson
As we celebrate Father’s Day, we pause with grateful hearts to honour the men who faithfully shape our homes, our church, and our community. In a world that often measures influence by visibility, strength, or achievement, God reminds us of a deeper truth in 1 Samuel 16:7: “People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
This verse gives us a beautiful lens through which to reflect on the impact of godly men. Their influence is not always loud, public, or easily measured—but it is deeply felt. It is seen in quiet prayers, steady faithfulness, words of wisdom, acts of service, and the example of a life surrendered to the Lord. A godly man carries a heart that seeks after God, and from that heart flows encouragement, leadership, compassion, and strength for others.
We are thankful for the men in our church family who serve, lead, mentor, pray, encourage, and stand as examples of God’s grace in everyday life. Whether as fathers, grandfathers, husbands, brothers, sons, mentors, or faithful friends, their presence matters. Their influence reaches far beyond what can be seen on the surface. Through their character, integrity, and devotion to Christ, they are helping to shape the next generation and strengthening the lives of those around them.
On this Father’s Day, we want to say thank you. Thank you to the men who lead with humility, love with consistency, and live with hearts devoted to God. Your witness matters. Your faithfulness matters. Your influence is immeasurable because the Lord sees the heart—and a heart fully given to Him leaves an eternal impact.
May God continue to strengthen and bless the men among us as they walk in His truth and reflect His heart to a world in need of godly examples.
