The Big Give

What is The Big Give?

The Big Give is a national movement of generosity. Every year, churches across our country bless their neighbourhoods through a unified day of giving extravagantly where EVERYTHING IS FREE! This year, on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at Ottawa Christian School, Sequoia Community Church will be partnering with The Big Give by hosting a free garage sale!

"What can I donate to The Big Give?"

Items Needed:

gently used washed clothing
shoes
sports equipment
bikes/scooters
toys
books
small appliances (please ensure the appliance is in working order)
baby clothes and small items
stationary/office supplies
Linens
accessories (belts, purses, etc.)
plastic shopping bags - lots!

Items NOT needed:

furniture
large appliances or large items,
baby items such as car seats, strollers, and cribs (may put you in a position of liability)
old computers, monitors and equipment

"How Can I Donate To The Big Give?"

Please indicate your donation by filling out the Google Form below. Donation drop off will be happening at Ottawa Christian School on Friday, June 6th between 4pm - 7pm. If you cannot drop off on this date, please contact Diane Saikaley to arrange another time to drop off.

“How can I help outside of donating?”

Here are a few ways you can join us on Friday June 6th or Saturday, June 7th:

Sorting donations at Ottawa Christian School: Friday from 4pm-7 pm
Setting up for the event: Saturday from 7:30am-9am
Supporting a table at the event: Saturday from 9am-11am
Tearing down the event: Saturday 11am-noon
Providing a free service (weather permitting): Saturday 9am-11am
Guest Services: Saturday 9am-11am
Donating baked goods (muffins, cookies)
